The performers

Jan Kyncl ()

Jan Kyncl is a saxophonist and composer who is one of the outstanding faces of the young Czech jazz generation. He regularly collaborates with top Czech jazz and alternative music artists, both as a sideman and leader. Currently he is involved in the projects Jan Kyncl Quartet, Kyncl Culture, FaKyn, Kristina Barta Quartet, Jan Smigmator & Band, Jan Smigmator Big Band, Camoes House Band. He also collaborates with big bands such as the Jazz Dock Orchestra and the Gustav Brom Radio Big Band. In addition to his varied musical activities, he works as a music dramaturge at the Czech Radio.

Mikuláš Pokorný ()

Mikuláš Pokorný is a Czech pianist. During his studies at the Jaroslav Ježek Academy of Music in Prague, the Janáček Academy in Brno and the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa in Lisbon, Mikuláš Pokorný has been or still is a leader or sideman in several groups and projects (Laco Deczi & Celula New York, Jan Smigmator, Los Quemados, Mikuláš Pokorný Trio).
